VUNDABAR
VUNDABAR
Vundabar is a Boston-based indie rock trio blending surf-inspired guitar, artful post-punk, tangled math-rock, shimmering jangle-pop, and flashes of grunge. Formed by frontman Brandon Hagen and drummer Drew McDonald, and later joined by bassist Zack Abramo, the band built its fiercely independent career through an acclaimed catalog and relentless touring before its 2015 song “Alien Blues” went viral and earned platinum certification. After signing with Loma Vista Recordings, Vundabar released its sixth album, Surgery And Pleasure, a visceral and deeply personal record born from a period of profound change that pairs the band’s scrappy original energy with newfound maturity, intensity, and perspective.
